SBQL #14 – Song | Book | Quote | Look
It´s time for the very first SBQL this year and thus I´d like to share my new-found favorite stylish blogger, two sisters who got the beat and I can´t stop listening too, a quote that caught me quite off-guard and a book I just started reading last night on my Kindle that makes for a perfect winter weekend read.
LOOK
Hallie got me hooked on her stylish blog CORALS + COGNACS as well as her bubbly personality as soon as I found it. Her wardrobe makes me want to move in – even though that sounds creepy as hell, ha! I love her simple street style looks with a twist (like those amazing red heels above). It was hard to choose just one look to love, but black skinnies and a cute cashmere sweater can´t be wrong this time of the year.
BOOK
THE SURVIVAL KIT by Donna Freitas is a very recent find that makes for a good winter read, I suppose: When Rose’s mom dies, she leaves behind a brown paper bag labeled Rose’s Survival Kit. Inside the bag, Rose finds an iPod, with a to-be-determined playlist; a picture of peonies, for growing; a crystal heart, for loving; a paper star, for making a wish; and a paper kite, for letting go. Hooked already?
SONG
Sara just recently posted about THE VERONICAS and as soon I listened to the new self-titled album of these Australian twin sisters and singer-songwriter superwomen. It was hard to just pick one favorite song, so I didn´t. Instead I give you three, cool?
Sanctified has this edgy anthem-feel to it which makes it the perfect tune to start an album with. Did you miss me (I´m a Veronica) is a more up-beat track that´s perfect for a little sing-along while getting ready for a night out. And last but not least, Always – a song that sticks with you even hours after you listened to it. Needless to say you should totally stay tuned to tomorrow´s SUNDAY MIXTAPE :)
QUOTE
Pinterest is always good to come around a quote that slaps you in the face. SOMETIMES IT TAKES A GOOD FALL TO REALLY KNOW WHERE YOU STAND. That perfectly sums up my life right now but I feel like dedication and hard work will get me back on track soon and randomly reading this quote kinda helped me come to that realization.
Now jump over to see NINA´s PICKS and tell us, what is your SBQL this month?!
Love all of these! I’ve added the book to my TBR list, that quote is perfection, The Veronicas are awesome, and I’ve added Corals and Cognacs to my Bloglovin. Such great picks!
Pretty hooked on The Veronicas, too. Yeah, I think I gathered a nice round up this time *pats herself on back* :)
Love that look! Hallie’s sweater is so cool! So intrigued by that book now! It’s on my to read list for sure!

Right, Sara?! Love her style! Happy you found a new addition to your reading list :)
